- 'camping out a marathon' on the Esplanade
- eating vodka watermelon on the tarp
- meeting new people with whom you hang out all day
- playing Bocce ball (= petanque) on the small strip of grass left
- eating home made frittata with fresh veggies
- trying home made French toast with blueberries
- changing from standing to sitting to laying down to standing again and sitting again and laying down again and again and again and again
- walking around barefoot
- expressing an 'OMG' when seeing a dog wearing an american flag colored hat and jacket
- playing cards on the blanket with random people
- eating fried dough for the first time
- taking naps on the grass of the Esplanade
- applying and reapplying sun screen
- filling up the coolers with ice and beer and beer and beer
- playing "Truth truth lie"
- sing along with songs played at the Hatch Shell
- moving to a nice spot in the shade thanks to a lady that camps out for 13 years already
- watching fireworks that were not "for sure the best fireworks I have ever seen in my life" this time but still very impressive
and all that, all you ever experienced in your life, they can never ever take that away from you anymore
